Sacred Mysteries | Terence McKenna

Terence Mckenna

Terence McKenna (1946—2000) studied the ontological foundations of Shamanism and the Ethnopharmacology of spiritual transformation for the past quarter century. An innovative theoretician and spellbinding orator, Terence emerged as a powerful voice for the psychedelic movement during the 1980's and 1990's. He appeared on many underground radio shows and alternative news sources discussing the emergent societal tendency that he called The Archaic Revival. Poetically dispensing enlightened social criticism and new theories of the fractal dynamics of time, Terence deobfuscated many aspects of the visionary lexicon, and then some. As Artist Alex Grey suggests, "In the twilight of human history, McKenna's prescription for salvation is just so crazy it might work." Terence McKenna joined the ancestors at 2:15 a.m. Pacific time, April 3, 2000. He went on his way in peace surrounded by loved ones.

TERENCE MCKENNA'S THE ALCHEMICAL DREAM
TERENCE MCKENNA'S THE ALCHEMICAL DREAM In the mid-1990's Terence McKenna and Mystic Fire's Sheldon Rocklin teamed up to make this rich and exciting film. Little did they know that this would be their last film. Filmed in Prague with Terence portraying his usual erudite rendition of the Irish Bard, this filmed classic takes us on a journey into the alchemical renaissance of King Frederick V and his wife Queen Elizabeth of Bohemia. Playing the role of John Dee, court magician for Queen Elizabeth of England, Terence McKenna shows us how the promise of a return to the tradition of alchemy was almost instituted in Europe. . . . keep reading
